What does Zinc contain?

Our Zinc contains only high-quality raw materials, guaranteeing an actual effect and first-class quality. We rely on zinc bisglycinate because of its very high bioavailability (43 % higher on average than zinc gluconate). This allows the body to absorb large amounts of these nutrients quickly, and keep them ready to kick in when needed.

How does Zinc help my nutrition?

At your job, in the gym, doing sports, and pretty much everywhere else, you need enough minerals to be able to master your tasks and meet your challenges. Unfortunately, zinc in itself has a very low bioavailability and according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), a sufficient supply of zinc in a purely plant-based diet is sometimes more difficult to maintain than a diet with meat, which can lead to zinc deficiency.

Is Zinc suitable for vegans and vegetarians?

Our product is 100% vegan, allergen-free, non-GMO and sugar-free. Unfortunately, zinc in itself has a very low bioavailability and according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), a sufficient supply of zinc in a purely plant-based diet is sometimes more difficult to maintain than a carnivorous diet and can lead to zinc deficiency. The reason for this is phytic acid, which is contained in plant foods with high zinc content and partially reduces the absorption of zinc. In order to supply the recommended zinc content of 50% in vegetable nutrition, zinc is a suitable supplement for vegans and vegetarians, balances out its low bioavailability.

How does zinc help?

Zinc helps reduce fatigue and keeps the electrolytes balanced out. It provides energy for your mineral household, keeps the central nervous system intact and assists psychological and muscular functions such as protein synthesis. Additionally, it keeps the bones and teeth healthy and helps divide cells. It also prevents cramps, which is extremely helpful during workouts.

Is zinc natural?

Zinc is an essential trace mineral that plays a major part for many bodily functions. It supports a healthy immune system by driving the macronutrient metabolism and maintaining normal testosterone levels in the blood. Additionally, it assists eyesight and the preservation of healthy skin, hair, nails, and bones and protects cells from oxidative stress.

What about zinc's bioavailability?

As zinc biglycinate, it is highly available and easily absorbed. This allows the body to absorb large amounts of this mineral quickly and keep store them, ready to kick in whenever they are needed. Our manufactured essential mineral zinc is 100% vegan and allergen free, its effective formula supports workout periods and covers your daily zinc requirement.

If your zinc vegan?

The packaging must also meet our high standards. Our tablets are 100% vegan and are produced with microcrystalline cellulose. It is not always easy for vegans and vegetarians to stay clean using supplements. Our effective vegan tablets are perfect for a healthy and plant-based diet while working out.

What is microcrystalline cellulose?

A lot of people have never heard of microcrystalline cellulose and yet they are unsure of it. The European Commission defines this substance as "purified, partially decomposed cellulose obtained from the stems of plant fibers". Plant material is divided into small components, refined and microcrystalline cellulose is produced. It is a bulking agent in a variety of foods that does not alter consistency, taste, or properties and is contained in our zinc tablets as well as in dairy products, baked goods, sausages and much more.

Why is microcrystalline cellulose used for tablets?

Microcrystalline cellulose is used in our zinc tablets to bind and hold them together. It is used as little as possible. Because it is obtained from plant material, it is a more natural bulking agent, which is 100% vegan and neither requires genetic engineering nor does it alter the properties of the active ingredient.

Do you use bulking agents?

Our products do not contain any of those made-up and ineffective ingredients. Perhaps it sounds surprising that we use a bulking agent. Microcrystalline cellulose is, however, plant-based and we have good reason to use it. Our tablets contain 25.0 mg of zinc. The microcrystalline cellulose is utilized to bind the tablet together. Since the tablets are very small, you can also make out a small amount of bulking agent. We prefer that to the alternative which would be coatings and release agents in this case. With microcrystalline cellulose from plant sources we use the absolute minimum of additives without weakening the effect or unnecessarily enlarging our product.

Is microcrystalline cellulose safe?

According to the European Commission (we are sticking to the GMP guidelines in the European Union), microcrystalline cellulose has an unspecified acceptable daily intake, as it does not pose a risk to consumer health. According to the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it is also generally considered safe. According to scientific studies, there are no negative effects or health concerns. If you have any questions or concerns, we recommend using reputable sources such as [recognized scientific sources](http://www.inchem.org/documents/jecfa/jecmono/v040je03.htm) for information.
